I need to rename hundreds of folders. is there a keystroke for this, or can i set one, so then I can just click the folder, and then hit the keystroke to bring up this prompt, rather than having to right click and select "Rename..." from the dropdown menu? When you have to do this hundreds of times in a row, the time adds up.... thanks

@Conrad_C The OP @Jeena22389650a1ho wants to rename FOLDERS, not photos.
TBMK there is no keyboard shortcut for that.
Anyone know of a Plugin for that?

Thanks for noticing, Rob_Cullen! Yes, I wrongly read it as files, so I withdrew the post.
The Any Shortcut plug-in does let you assign keyboard shortcuts, but I don’t know if it will help with this. I guess what would make it possible is if the plug-in can provide access to the context menus, because the Rename command for files doesn’t seem to be on the menu bar.

I have a Logitech gaming mouse that can be programmed for a series of key presses (a macro?). Buttons can take me to many LrC KB shortcuts, but no way I can get this to work for a Folder Rename:
[Right-Click] > Down Arrow > Down Arrow > Down Arrow > Down Arrow > [Enter]
The big hurdle is that a KB [Right-Click] command ([Shift+F10]) does not work in LrC.
Really it is only two mouse clicks- easy, but moving the cursor is what takes time and dexterity.

Unfortunately, LR doesn't provide the ability to assign a shortcut to the Folder Rename command. In general, what matters to Any Shortcut for any given command is whether LR provides such an ability, not whether the command appears in a top menu or context menu.

I'm reasonably sure you could use the Keyboard Maestro utility app to do this:
