City, Country metadata did not sync from Lightroom (on tablet) to Classic during download, 2023

Can someone explain what I did wrong. I downloaded photos to Lightroom on my tablet during a trip. I manually added the City, Country and sometimes a Title or Caption to the photos on my tablet while traveling. When I returned home I opened Lightroom Classic on my desktop to allow the photos to download to my local computer. The city and state data did not download. Can someone explain why? For anyone suggestion GPS, I use a Nikon Zii and while it technically should be able to get the location via SnapBridge, I have found that SnapBridge doesn't work automatically and even if I open it & refresh it, it isn't always going to save the location data. So, I don't have GPS data on these photos.

3 questions:

What did I do wrong?

Is there a way to "re-sync" the metadata that I entered on my tablet so I don't have to re-enter it on Classic?

Any other recommendations for gathering city country metadata while traveling?

Thank you.

No, you did nothing wrong. The simple fact is that Location data (like Keyword data) does not sync between the cloud and LrClassic.

There's no way to fix that when going from cloud to Classic (there's a hack when syncing from Classic to cloud, but nothing in reverse). The only thing I can suggest is to use the Map module in LrC to add the GPS coordinates, which should then trigger the reverse address lookup feature to make location suggestions in LrC. The GPS coordinates WILL sync back to the

The GPS coordinates WILL sync back to the cloud, and a similar reverse address lookup should populate the location fields in the cloud....but any subsequent manual changes in one app will not sync to the other.
