Copy and Import stopped working in iPhone with M3 Mac

I've always been in the habit of importing my iphone photos to my Lightroom Classic catalog and then clearing my phone for more space, and it used to work very efficiently.

Since upgrading to an M3 Macbook Pro, I can't get the import to happen anymore. It'll recognize the images on the device, let me configure the import, and then when I start it, it just sits there thinking and imports nothing. I'm sure it's a permissions issue, but I don't know how to resolve it. Can anyone offer any guidance?

Thanks!

I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to the Lightroom Classic forum.

Does that import include any videos?

It won't work even if I select only still images.
