Lightroom Classic on a Mac. My photos are getting cropped square upon import. I'm not sure how I turned this on! Can someone tell me how to turn it off?

Hello Marie,

please check your import settings.

Did you activate anything here, please post a screenshot of your current setting.

I never saw anything for cropping during import.

Please open the import modul and select "none" for the develompent settigs during import.

What Lightroom Classic version are you using on your Mac?

Did you check the actual pixel size of the picture that it is cropped or is it maybe just a zoom issue?

Go in the develop modul and try to crop the picture, do you still see the original format or is it cropped?

Ralf

Perhaps you accidentally set the camera to shoot in square format.

Perhaps in Lightroom Classic, you are applying an import preset (next to Develop Settings) which includes a 1:1 crop.
