Default Profile in Develop

New Here ,
Oct 27, 2024 Oct 27, 2024

In version 14.0.1 the default Profile in the Develop Module is Camera Natural. This profile is very saturated and not very realistic and not at all like the image I expect from the camera (Olympus OM-1). I have to change every photo to Adobe Color in Develop for the image to match the rendering in Library. Can I change the default Develop Profile?

Normally, the default profile for raws is Adobe Color.

You may be applying a develop preset during import -- look at the Apply During Import panel in the right column of the Import window.

You may have also changed the raw defaults -- do Preferences > Presets and look at the Raw Defaults section. If you set Global: Adobe Default and uncheck Override Global Setting For Specific Cameras, then raws will default to Adobe Color.

Camera Neutral vs Adobe Neutral, That Camera Neutral would be a camera matching profile. Following screenshot from my test catalog, with a sample OM1 RAW selected, This shows the Adobe standard vs OM1 camera Matching profiles:
