Deleting Photos from Disk and Catalog

Community Beginner ,
Mar 07, 2019 Mar 07, 2019

In Lightroom Classic, in grid view, when I go to Photo and select "delete rejected photos" the only window that displays is if I want to "remove the photos from the Collection". It doesn't give me the window with the option for remove from disk as well.  I can work with this but I'd rather have the option of removing from the disk.  Appreciate any advice.

If you are in a collection, the only thing you can do is remove the file from the collection. You have to select "All Photographs" or a specific folder, and not the collection, to get the dialog box with "Delete from Disk".

If you want to delete from both LR and the disk from within a collection, you can use the so-called "Splat Delete", but be aware that this does not cause a confirmation dialog box to appear, the delete is instantaneous. Thank you.  After I posted this, I thought about the folder scenario and went to that.  Resolved everything.  Thank you for responding!
