When I run Denoise, a weird blue-ish, purple-ish streak appears on the right edge of the photo. Please forgive me if this is something obvious that I've done terrible wrong.

I'm using Lightroom Classic 13.0.1

I'm on a Macbook Pro, 2017 model running Ventura 13.6

Thank you so much—happy to provide more info and examples. Before and after below.before-05476.jpgexpand imageafter-.jpgexpand image

That's definitely strange and unexpected. Likely a bug. Not seen this on my machine with similar files. Does this happen on all your files or just on some? Most of the bugs we see on the forum with AI denoise have to do with the GPU on the machine people are using. I am surprised this machine even does the denoise as you need pretty beefy recent GPUs to make it work well. If you can share a raw file here (use dropbox or similar to share) for which it happens people here can test on their machines to see if it gives similar artifacts.

Oh, really? Wow—guess I should look into a new machine soon! I thought it was all my images, but now it seems like it's just happening with a certain group of images I shot...

I shot a dance concert and for the first bit I used a Sony prime lens (these pictures Denoise fine). Then I swapped to using a Canon 24-70mm with metbones converter and all my pictures Denoise fine from this as well. I then switched back to the Sony prime lens and all of the images from that point on have the Denoise issue. I will test new images today and update later on, but no matter that outcome, I'd still love help in figuring out how to get past this problem for these photos. I'm including a RAW file here: https://we.tl/t-QyfSmQbsb1

Thank you so much for your help, all!

This file gives me a blue artefact on the right hand side too after running enhance (strength 50). Clearly visible in the screenshot below. So it is not your computer I think. It is clearly caused by the enhance feature as it is not present in the original (second screenshot). Very strange.

P.S. enhancing this image takes about 15 seconds on my M1 Max MBP. I am sure it takes many minutes on your machine.

Well, it's very nice to know that it isn't something I did and it isn't just me. Thank you so much for looking into it.

Surprisingly, it only takes about 30 seconds to enhance the image on my old machine.

An old thread but... I had this issue after denoising a 2016 archive file that had been imported into LR as a DNG (not as a Sony native ARW) then opened as Smart Object in ACR .
I reimported the file to LR as an ARW then opened as Smart Object in ACR and there was no purple band after running denoise.
