I believe you are confusing pixels and pixels/inch here. 300 pixels is still a tiny image, and in most cases far too small for a book. Pixels/inch is not a measure for image size however. An image of say 1000 x 1500 pixels and 75 ppi is the same size as an image of 1000 x 1500 pixels and 300 ppi, so that cannot cause any warnings in the book module. So please explain in more detail, and if possible with screenshots, what the problem is. You initially said the message is that the frame is too sma

If the frame in the book is, for example, 3x4 inches, and your photo is smaller than that assuming 300 pixels per inch, (for example) 300x400 pixels (that's 100 pixels per inch), then you will get this message. So, please tell us the dimensions of one of these photos (in pixels, width x height) and the size of the frame (usually this is in inches or centimeters, width x height) that it is supposed to fit into.

Are you sure the original images are not missing and you are using smart previews?

No. Pictures made (Sony and Fujifilm X5) have suddenly 75 pixels in stead of the usual 300 pixels. It is a (negative) miracle.

The frame is the container for the image however, so that means this has nothing to do with the image being too small.

Dear Mr. Elzenga,

I appreciate that you have taken the trouble to answer to my questions. I will study your findings. I would lijke to send you example photo's. When a picture is in place in LrC and pushing the + button it changes in a - button and the picture gets smaller on the screen. Can I send you an exemple photo from my recent trip in and through Sweden by email? My mail address is: adelco@planet.nl

Sorry, no. We should deal with this issue in the forum, that is what the forum is for. Other people with a similar problem can learn from your experience and other people than me can tune in to help.
