I am new to Lightroom-

When I am in Develop mode editing a photo and then switch over to library mode, the photo doesn't look the way it was edited.

Would someone please advise, super frustrating.

Thank you kindly, Ashley

Thank you. When you specify, 1:1 "100%"- where do I check the percentage on this?

Normally, clicking in the image will display it at 1:1.

But if the last magnification you used was something else than 1:1 – like 1:4 or 2:1 – this last used magnification will be used.

To verify, check the Navigator panel, I posted a screenshot of this in post 19.

https://forums.adobe.com/people/Todd+Shaner -- is the basic panel control settings adjustment link you sent able to be applied to Lightroom Classic CC?

Yes. Thanks for asking that question and jogging my memory. The PDF document is applicable to Lightroom 4, 5, 6, Classic CC and the new CC Desktop, Mobile for Andorid & iOS, and Web apps introduced in October 2017. The new CC Cloud based apps have a different user interface, but the Basic panel controls are available and work the same. Of updated the PDF to reflect the applicable LR apps.

BTW- There's nothing wrong with taking baby steps to learn more about using LR. It does get easier with time and experience.
