Develop module disabled

Lately, bringing up the develop module has been pretty slow. Today, I brought it up and only ever got a grey screen and all tools are disabled. Somewhere it was suggested disabling graphics card accelleration. That did no good, enabled or disabled. I can push images into other apps (Photoshop, Topaz Sharpen, et al.), but I cannot use develop.

Try resetting your Lightroom preferences:
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

Quit Lightroom Classic.
MacOS: Press and hold the Shift + Option keys.
Windows: Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom Classic.
When asked, select "Yes".

I didn't get a yes/no question. Instead a window popped up saying, "Lightroom quit unexpectedly" and I was asked if I wanted to resume or report or something else. I choose "resume" since I'd already reported one crash today. It resumed and I'm in the develop module. I think I'll start journaling these crashes. They feel like they are happening more often of late.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

So why has Facebook stuck it's nose in here and how can I purge that POS?

Also, the "Edit In" menu has entries for Topaz Sharpen and DeNoise, but they're not listed here.

The Facebook plug-in comes with LrC by default, even though it no longer works (issue at FB)  Hurts nothing, you can remove via plug-in manager. While you are at that, you might as well remove the old ON1 2021 ones. Alternatively, unused plug-ins can also simply be disabled. And while in the plug-in manager, watch for any showing errors, and any showing updates available.

As for Topaz, that is a different treatment selected by Topaz, not actually plug-ins but presets, they do not show up in the plug-in manager.

A possibility, corrupt preference file.

see:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

The preference file can get corrupted leading to buggy behavior. A corrupt preference file will survive uninstalls, updates, and upgrades. By renaming or moving or deleting the preference file you create a situation where LrC will recreate a fresh new one upon startup of LrC. Be aware various settings will revert to defaults.
