Develop Module Resets Adjustments After White Balance Change and Switching Modes

In Adobe Lightroom Classic, when adjusting the White Balance of an already-edited photo in the Develop module using the keyboard arrow keys, then switching to Library mode using the keyboard shortcut, all visible adjustments disappear from the preview. Upon returning to the Develop module, all the sliders are reset to their default positions, and the image appears unedited. However, the edit history remains intact, showing all previous adjustments. Clicking on any entry in the edit history temporarily restores the correct preview of the photo corresponding to that specific entry. Restarting Lightroom resolves the issue, and the photo reappears with the correct adjustments applied.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open an already-edited photo in the Develop module.
  2. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to make adjustments to the White Balance.
  3. Switch to Library mode using the keyboard shortcut (G or E).
  4. Observe that the photo preview shows no edits.
  5. Switch back to the Develop module using the keyboard shortcut (D).
  6. Observe that:
    • All sliders in the Develop module appear reset to default values.
    • The photo looks unedited.
    • The edit history remains intact, with the correct list of previous adjustments.
  7. Clicking on any entry in the edit history temporarily restores the correct preview corresponding to that entry.
  8. Restarting Lightroom restores the correct appearance of the photo with all adjustments properly applied.

Expected Behavior:

When adjusting the White Balance and switching between modes, Lightroom should maintain the applied edits in both the preview and the Develop sliders without resetting them.

Actual Behavior:

After modifying the White Balance and switching modes, the photo preview shows no edits, and upon returning to the Develop module, the sliders are reset, giving the appearance of an unedited photo despite the edit history showing otherwise. Restarting Lightroom resolves the issue temporarily.

System Information:

  • Adobe Lightroom Classic Version: 13.5.1
  • Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 22H2
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 7600 XT
  • System Memory: 32Gb
