Double-click on develop sliders not working correctly in LrC 15

Oct 31, 2025 Oct 31, 2025

In all previous versions of LrC, double-clicking on a develop slider returned it to its global default value, which is zero for most sliders. In 15, it isn't working that way. It appears that it may be resetting to the value associated with the applied preset instead, which in about 99% of the cases where I do it means that it will have no effect at all. If this was an intentional change, I hate it, and the option to have it work the old way needs to be available in the Preferences menu. If it's a bug, please fix it.

Double clicking should not reset the slider to zero, but to the camera default. That is not new for Lightroom Classic 15, it has been this way for a long time. So maybe that default is what you changed?

I have a thought that it may be a result of the one change I made - I discovered the preference setting for camera-specific default import presets, and set that up for my cameras and drone. I had been changing the setting manually in the import dialog. I'm going to experiment and see if that was what made the difference. I can't think of anything else I'm doing differently.
