Edit in Photoshop from LR - save issue

New Here ,

I learned the hard way a year ago that if you don't  "save" back to LR after editing in PS and then export from there, you mess up the color space (versus "save as"). So that's what I've been doing since last summer. For some reason now, when I hit save, it's not sending it back to LR but it's just saving it as a Tif file and it stops there. I then have to import it back into LR and export out. Anyone know why it stopped working the way it used to?

Yes, there are reports of the file hand off from PS back to LR fails every now and then. Adobe seems slow in tracking down that problem.

Mac or Windows? which version?

Which exact versions of LR and PS?

Are the files being saved to internal drives, external drives, or network drives?

You could try resetting the Photoshop Preferences. Make a backup of the file first.

See Item#23 in this link to a PDF.

In the past I had to reset Ps Preferences when my photos would not 'Open' in Ps from Lr Edit-in.

And you might find some hints here-
