Export presets no longer remembering location

Community Beginner ,
Aug 24, 2020 Aug 24, 2020

I have only just encountered this problem so I am not sure when it started.

In the past export presets remembered the location set in the preset.  This no longer works.

Please fix, or am I doing something wrong?

Anyone else noticed this?

Thank you for all your support and suggestions...

With a bit of experiementation I figured out that the preset was corrupt.  So on deleting the preset and making new ones all worked again as it used too.

It seems it was a corrupt preset.

Awaiting your reply. Catalog backups are the most important, but you don't need to keep dozens of them. Several recent, some from each month, and one or two each year. AND they MUST be on a physical hard-drive that is separate from your Drive with the working Catalog.

BACKUP - WHICH FILES?

Multiple external drives! You might like to read the attached document I prepared for photo club friends-

Hi, I am also having this issue after having to re-install Win11, and at the same time as LRC update. Initially I just recreated the EXPORT preset and encountered the issue. I have just now found the orignal preset (in a backup I keep ) and replaced the new preset I created but i still get the same result. I right click on a image once I've finished edited. select Export, then the EXPORT preset i want to use and instead of dust doing the export like it used to, it keeps giving me a select folder dialogue which defaults to the last folder I used (it wouldnt be so bad if it was actually the folder I want to use).

In your Export dialog, which of the options do you have selected?

Is it this one?-

If you have the option set to "Specific Folder"-  Does that folder still exist in the exact same path as it did BEFORE you re-installed Windows?

I first recreated the export preset after re-installing LRC, and the issue was there (in fact I created it a couple of times thinking I had made an error when making the preset), so I then deleted the new preset, and imported my original, with the same result.

So you have an export preset-

Can you answer the two questions I asked in my previous post?

Morning @Etrephotography   (6.15am in Aus)

Thanks for clip of the export dialog. Now two more questions-

1) Have you clicked the [Choose] button to select a specific folder that exists and has full read/write permissions?

2) Have you then [Right-Clicked] the Export Preset name to Update it?

Just have to do it for the dozen other Export presets.
