Hello,
I have one photo in a folder of about 1200 that just won't export after editing.
It says that it can't write to the file xxxx.NEF even though I am exporting a .JPG. The NEF loads up fine in all other programs, PS, viewers etc, so I don't think it's corrupted at all.
I made a copy of the .NEF, re-edited it and it said that it still couldn't write to the new copy of the NEF file. It only this one file. It had previously edited and exported just fine.
So what has happened??
Thanks
Hello Johan,
Mysteriously today it is now working. I had exported about 50 JPG's from that directory last nightr with no problems. The problem photo now exports a JPG as well.
Very weird, I haven't really changed anything.

Just a thought, but can you click on the actual file that the photo is stored in outside of Lightroom, and right click to get to the properties of the file and see if the attributes check box is marked as is read-only. Perhaps, this may be the reason why. It would be worth a look. Maybe it got checked accidently.

Hello ricky336,
Yes, checked all of those. All attributes are set correctly. Even cycled them off and on again just to make sure they are set.
Thanks for your input.

Can you show a screenshot of the error? Lightroom should not write to a .NEF file at all.
