Exposure on export WAY overexposed

Community Beginner ,

I'm running 12.4 in LR Classic, and I have quite a few random files that are far overexposed upon export- but not all of them. I restarted my computer (iMac M1 Ventura 13.4.1), created virtual copies, and still nothing. Take a look at the screenshots, this is a first for me, and I have no idea what's going on. Thanks in advace! Hoping to release this wedding to the bride tonight...

A bit of an update, when I disconncet the drive with the raw files, the images are just fine. Of course I can't upload those versions, the resolution is too small. The raw files are fine- not corrupt whatsoever. So any ideas of what to do would be great. I released the wedding to my client explaining to her that 12 images will be added once I figure this out.

Sometimes the previews in Library are not updated immediately. What happens if you take one of those images that exports overexposed into Develop? Does it become overexposed? If it looks normal, try disabling the use of the GPU for exporting. This can be done in preferences->Performance by setting the Use Graphics Processor option to Custom and unchecking the Use GPU for export button. This is a new feature in a recent Classic update.

Thank you so much for chiming in!  I tried just what you said, with checking and unchecking that box, then disabling completely- still the same overexposed results. As far as what the images look like in Develop mode, it pops back and forth from looking overexposed in Grid view but then jumps to correct exposed in Develop after two seconds. This is only happneing with 2 images. So strange...  Any other ideas?

This behavior reminds me of a bug that was present some time ago. I can't exactly remember what was going on but I do remember somebody with very similar things happening. Perhaps something to do with specific image profiles or presets. Does it also happen with the same images in a completely empty catalog with just those images added?

I haven't tried another catalog, I had to move on. Nothing fixed it, so I just exported them with just the preview. She's not making big prints of these, so I'll be fine. Thanks everyone!!!

@Jimi Ferrara , this is just a thought, there is a bug when using "Copy and Paste" feature.

Check and see if it is related to your problem.
