EXTREMLY slow import after update to Lightroom Classic CC

Hi,

After updating to Lightroom Classic CC the import of my raw photos won't work as fast as it used to.

I didn't change the settings.

I work with a MacOS High Sierra from mid 2012, version 10.13.4.

I always import from my SanDisk to an external storage disk. Before the update it worked well.

I also contacted the support team but they couldn't help me.

Does someone had the same problem and could fix it?

Could you please take a look at the steps mentioned in this article Optimize Lightroom performance and let us know if that helps in improving the apps performance.
