How do I delete disabled plugins from Lightroom Classic?

New Here ,
Sep 20, 2023 Sep 20, 2023

I dsabled multple plugins in preferences, but the delte button is grayed out and I am unable to delete them there.  Meanwhile, the dsabled plugins continue to show up in the "edit in" list in the Photos drop-down menu in the Develop module.  So I have a long list of old plugins cluttering up the space.  I can find no guidance on this in the online help library.

Thanks for whatever help you can offer

Well, if the plug-in was located where LrC likes them, then this would have been easy, and via the plug-in manager, as I suspect you were trying, see:

https://www.learn-to-lightroom.com/articles/using-the-plugin-manager/

But if that fails. In the plug-in manager, click on the button to show their location. (Show in Finder). Using Finder, delete them. Close LrC if open. Restart LrC.

Robert is referring to the list of external-editor presets that appear in the menu Photo > Edit In.  To delete unwanted external-editor presets:

1. Go to Preferences > External Editing.

2. In the Preset drop-down menu under Additional External Editor, select the preset you want to delete.

3. Click the drop-down a second time, and select "Delete preset <preset name>", e.g.
