I am preparing a Slide show of my deceased daughter's Pictures. There are lots of pictures are digitized from prints, films and slides. I have tried to sort by capture date. But the capture date is when the the pictures are digitized. Is there a way to manually move the pictures as I see it fit?
I know it can be done. But I forgot the procedure.
An early response will be highly appreciated..

I haven't got LR2.7 installed on my system, but I've still got LR3 installed and hopefully the Slideshow stills works the same in both.
Gather all the images for the slideshow into a single collection in the Library module, then select that collection and using Grid view you can reorder the images by dragging and dropping them (drag from the image, not the grey border) into the Custom Order that you want. Then switch to the Slideshow module and when you play the slideshow the images will appear in that custom order.
You can in fact do a similar reordering using the Filmstrip in either Library or Slideshow modules, but the Grid view in Library is probably easier to work with.

I tried in the GRID form. I can drag the picture to my preferred location. But, the picture will not stay there. It goes back previous location. I also tried slideshow without luck.

You need to make sure that the source set of images is either a folder or a static collection. "User Order" is not available if you are working from a smart collection or the "Previous Import" special collection.
