How to View and Export Only Edited Images in Lightroom Classic

I know this has been raised before, but I don't understand behaviour I am seeting in Lightroom.

I have a catalog of all of my iPhone photographs. I want to see if I have edited any of them, if so, which ones.

So, I've:

(1) Looked at the "Attributes" "Edit" filter

(2) Created a "Smart Collection", with the condition: "Has Adjustments" (True)

(3) Created a "Smart Collection", with the condition: "Has Edits" (True)

ALL 3 cases select ALL of the photos in my Catalog. But very few have actually been edited in Lightroom.

If I look at one example of a photo that hasn't been edited, the "History" tab shows the Imported action (time and date) for when the photo was added to the Catalog. There are no other entries in History. All of the Adjustment sliders are set to their default settings (as no adjustements have been made). No presets have been applied.

I am at a loss, I don't understand why Lightroom things these photos have been edited.

Thanks

William

Just to clarify:

Do you see the "edited symbol" on all photos in grid view?

Have they been imported on the phone and then synced back to LrC via the cloud?

Yes, "edited symbol" is showing on all photos

No, photos have been imported directly to the computer from the phone.

You may have edits that are less obvious. I think enabling lens corrections will also be seen as an edit, for example.

Please show us a screen capture of the History panel in the Develop Module for one of these photos. Use the "Insert Photos" icon to include your screen capture; do NOT attach files.

And just to be sure. Copyright (or any other meta-data) has NOT been applied during import. No flags, ratings, comments, keywords have been applied during import. Basically, I just transfer the photos and that's it.

If I sort by "Edit Count" then indeed, I see the photos that I have applied edits too at the start of the sort, so as a workaround I have done this, but that's not really what I was hoping for.

Well - I have found a workaround.

(1) Select all of the photos that only have this one setting (the import setting)

(2) Apply "Read Metadata From Files"

Lightroom then considers that the files have not been edited.
