Participant ,

I'm using LR 9.1 and I'm having a problem.

LR takes up my entire screen and I can't adjust the size Also, my other icons don't appear on the botton of the screen. Photoshop works fine. I can adjust that screen and my other program icons are on the bottom of the screen.

Is this somnething I caused?

Thankyou for any help...

Lightroom Classic may have accidentally been switched into its full screen mode. If you move the pointer to the top of the screen, does a menu bar appear?

And if a menu bar appears, can you choose Window > Screen Mode > Normal?

If that doesn't work, what happens if you press Shift-F?

Thank you. None of the options would work. When I moved to the top of the screen I could sometimes get a file, Edit, Library. Etc... That was the only way I could close LR. The file drop down menu was the only one that kind of worked.

I really needed to get some work done so I ended up uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling and now it's working normally.

Again, Thank you for your help,

John

In addition to what Conrad suggests you should also have the option using your mouse to go to any of the four corners and when the double-headed arrow appears you can drag to resize to whatever size you wish within your screen. See the full screen capture for my iMac.

Thank you. Unfortunately that didn't work as it was the first thing I tried.

I appreciate your suggestions. I just uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled LR and now it's working fine.

I'm using 9.1 and just upgraded to Big Sur.  I'm having the same problem you are having.  I cannot adjust the size of my window. NO, it is not in full screen mode.  I can switch it to full screen mode and it works fine.  In normal, the window takes my full screen (sometimes the top bar hides itself up in the menu area.  The windows will not adjust in size from any side or corner.  The icon changes when I hove orver the corners but, when I click and drag, ...nothing.  Why is it things like this only happen with Adobe products?  It's like they try to make their own OS within an OS and they can never quite pull it off.

Also, the green button in the top write works to send it to full screen but, in full screen when that bar usually comes in view when the cursor goes to the top, that doesn't work correctly either.  I can see it coming down behind the menu area.  When I, using the menu, exit full screen, that bar continues to be hidden behind the menu section of the screen and it takes a lot of click before I can click it and drag it into view.

Sorry, not "top right" (or "write" 😛 ) - top left of window.
