I'm having a issue. Lightroom cannot find these original files,

I start I'm getting the exclamation symbol on 12 photo. I can't find them anyware I look in the coresponding folder I look in the rest of the forlder from this year  and even the previous year and and even in the trash and I came out empty handed. but the rest of the photos the I took that night are ther. Let me explain; the night before I was working on especific project with those photos  I feel tired so I quit Lightroom and promt me to backup so I did. and I left my Mac to sleep mode like every other night, the only way this Mac is  shut down is when I going on a assignment the last up to 3 weeks or more. and those photos have to be the most important of this project. funny thing I can printed but I can manipulated. I use lightroom and photoshop since came out on the market no issue what so ever. The anyone had or have this issue before. cos I can think any more I can't find any solution. need a little help.

And where are your backups of those photos?  Not the catalog, but the photos?

I got two backup drive 2tb each both are conected, once I finish backup I eject one for in case one go out.

So the missing photos are on the backup drive? Then just use those, copy the backups from the backup drive to the folder Lightroom Classic thinks they are in

You shouldn't have to look for this file. Use your operating system's search feature to search all folders on all disks for a file with the desired name.

Thank God I found the photos;

 I found the the photos the I looking in a next to the folder I working on same name same date but with a moved name at the end.  I don't know how this happen or way it happen  but no-one has accese to this mac but me like said before this mac going to sleep mode all the time the only way I shut down this mac is when I going in assignment.

Now that you found your photos, where are your backups of the photos? Remember LrC backup does not backup the photos.

If you do not have backups of your photos, now is the time to accomplish that

Oh, and the backups of your catalog???

I backup all my photos and the catalog since lightroom came out on the market in 2007 but I never have a sofware failure  oopsie let my rephrase that I never had this situation before the lightroom moved 15 photos and moved to a folder same name and date but not showimg in lightroom but somewhere  in my mac photo folder could be a glitch I don't know. But now i changed the way I import my photo uploaded to a separate HHD before I uploaded to lightroom on separated HHD like I always do..
