I've purged my raw and video caches, but when I look at my disk usage, still see caches there

Screenshot (153).pngAny reason I just can't delete them? And any idea why 'purging' isn't deleting them?

Yes, you can delete the CACHE files, even if you deleted a CACHE file that Adobe need, it will be recreated when the Adobe program, be that PS or LR or Bridge, etc launches.

I see you were using CCleanerr, those extra copies may or may not be actual directories, or migt be just in registry, or might actuially be in t=recycle bin. But at any rate have CCleaner delete them, is that nor what the little square boxes to click on on the right are for?

I notice that the modify dates are very old, perhaps

The cache files are utilized by the Lightroom when working with the raw files, you can clear the cache but they will be recreated when you you are working with a folder that contains raw files.

You can probably make the cache folders 'read-only' and then LR won't be able to write to them.

I notice that the modify dates are very old, perhaps orphaned directories from a previus install? Just trash in your way at this point.
