ICC files for LR and bring back ...

Community Beginner ,

So in PS when you print something your able to pick the ICC file that you need . So I came print with the PAPER that I want and need to use .

Be it Red River , Epson , Hahnemuehe  ...

Why Not in LR ?  LR has a sweet system or at lest it did.

Looking at the " The Adobe PS LR Classic CC Book "  He / it show ways to print that are no longer available on a MAC / Apple or that is what was told me by a text , after a hour & a half conversation . PLus sending two phone picks of the pages of the book .

I'm SURE other LR useres would love the Upgrade . I sure would.

On page 485  it shows the right hand panel having a PHOTO INFO to check and check extended ifo .

Also being able to add info below the image would be great .

You posted this in the Lightroom Classic forum (in 'bugs', but that is obviously not where this belongs), but it sounds like you are confusing Lightroom Classic and Lightroom (the cloud oriented version, that you probably use). Lightroom Classic can print using icc-paper profiles, as it always could. Nothing has changed, it still can do this. Lightroom does not have a print option however, and never did.

You won't get a clear answer until you give the App name and Version Number you are using. Copy and paste the report from MENU > HELP > SYSTEM INFO...

Lightroom-Classic has a Print module in BOTH Pc and Mac versions.

Lightroom does not have a Print module.

No, I am on a Mac. The text is either about Lightroom, not Lightroom Classic, or it is simply wrong (ChatGPT perhaps?).

Everything you asked about is still there. The picture below is from the current version, Lightroom Classic 14.4 on my Mac (not Lightroom 8.4), and it has printer profile selection, Print Info, and all the rest…nothing has been removed. If you are not seeing them, follow the advice everyone else is giving you and tell us exactly which version you are using, Lightroom Classic 14.4 or cloud Lightroom 8.4 or Lightroom in a web browser or something else.

Hi @RIC.7  Your screen clip suggests you have Color Management set to "Manage by Printer"- This means the printer chooses the profile by the paper you have set in the Printer setup dialog.

If you want to set the paper profile in Lr-Classic you need to change the option something "Other..." where you can select a profile, and you must turn off Color Management in the Printer setup.

Yes, I agree with what Rob_Cullen wrote: Profile must be set to something other than Managed by Printer, and if the profile is not in the list, it has to be added using the Other option.

This is the way custom print profiles have worked for many years in the Print feature in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and others. All those Adobe apps give you the choice of having print color managed by the printer driver (where profiles are applied automatically by the printer driver), or by the application (where you can choose a printer profile including those not included with the printer driver, because the Adobe print color management replaces the printer driver color management).

This feature has not changed in many years in those applications.
