I am unable to import photos into Lightroom CC Classic direct from Apples photo app ( the one with the multicoloured circles ) as it does not show in Lightroom as a source file, is this normal ? I can copy or move a photo to a file on the desktop and then import it to LR with out any problem and then when ready i can export it to the desktop file but if i then copy or move that file to the photo app again, any metadata information in particular the file name, reverts back to the original, again is this normal ? If not is there a solution to these problems.

Thanks

The Mac Photos App 'hides' your photo files in a 'Library' folder generally inaccessible to view.

Read some links for help on this topic-

https://photofocus.com/2016/09/20/moving-from-apple-photos-to-lightroom-the-why-and-the-how/

can photos stored in the new Apple Photos be quickly transferred to Lightroom? I am not at all happy...

I can't find  Apples Photos' library to import into Lightroom 6.

Many would recommend not using both Lightroom and 'Photos'. Choose Lightroom and work only with it.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 14.1.1, Photoshop 26.2, ACR 17.1, Lightroom 8.1, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.2, Windows-11.
