The latest version of the desktop app will constantly sort the images wrong.
What I mean is that like today I imported images from yesterday and it but about 330 in the correcy 7/20 folder then but the other 1200 in a 7/21 folder?????
It's been the same system for years and if i remove the files and try again eventually it'll get right but wastes hours of my time.

I assume there's a time zone issue relating to your camera: see this How to change the timezone in photo metadata?
But if you sort your folder by capture time, it should take seconds, rather than hours to find the correct day division, and then a few more keystrokes to move the files into the previous day folder. There is no need to "try again" - I am not sure exactly what you're doing to try to correct this.

thanks for the relpy..
My timezones are fine, I even sync the shooting times with creation times first with A Better Finder Attributes, then sort folder by creation time, then rename with date (down to milliseconds), state, camera model and unique id.
Dragging then over can work but it causes more corruption then it's worth, especially when im using capture one, dxo and affinity photo more and more.
It's just maddening that something so basic creates such issues.
