Is it possible to transfer catalog (edits) without the images in LR CC?

Hi, I can't seem to find this specific question in the forums so here goes. If there is an easier way to do this I am interested in hearing it. I use a shared central storage location (Windows) that is the same location on each computer (X:\ drive for example) while I am in the office. When I travel I will work with the images offline for the specific project (yes I know I can sync them to Adobe cloud but I'm old school and it takes too long with 42 MP raw files) then I will copy them back to my server when I return and continue editing on my desktop. My question is, can I export a "catalog" of just the edits of a single project from my laptop into my desktop but NOT include the images themselves? I basically just want to apply existing edits to the same exact set of images in a different catalog on the second computer and pick up where I left off. This would be useful if I begin an edit on the road with my laptop, then get back and want to continue on a larger monitor. Otherwise I am left with two computers with a partial edit of a project and it is hard to go back and find where it was done. Another reason I prefer to move the image files manually is so I can keep a specific folder naming sequence. The catalog import always adds a bunch of unnecessary folders on import.

Thanks!

Rob

Yes, it should be possible using the "export as catalog" command.

Select the images you want to export.

From the menu, "export as catalog".

In the Export dialog, uncheck the "export negative files" (these are the original images).

It has been a while since I have done this, so I would recommend testing with a small number of files first.
