hello there,
i just got a new pc setup
i9 13900 - 64gb ram 6000mhz - rtx 4070ti - ssd m2 990 pro with an aorus pro z690 mobo.
lightroom is laggy as hell... even the cursor lags while moving it around..
eveyrthing is new in the pc. no errors in anything whatsoever everything tested and running smoothly.
the Lr catalogue is brand new and pretty small (arounf 3000 images) and stored in the m2 990pro disk which is 80% free.. (1T).
and still Lr and Ps is unbearable ....
funny thing is , in my previous pc (10yr old pc) Lr was running flawlessly.
any ideas?
thank u in advance..

Please be specific and detailed. What actions are laggy? What modules are laggy? What is the version NUMBER of your Lightroom Classic (we need the version NUMBER and not words like "latest" or "up-to-date").

Are previews being generated in the background? Is sync with the cloud turned on? Is the people detection feature turned on? Please VERIFY that all these are off — do not simply say that you don't use these or that you never turned them on — I want you to VERIFY that these are off.

Check that new PC,s various drivers for updates. Not just the GPU driver, but the MB drivers, chipset, lan, usb, sata, audio, video, etc.
Check the Windows OS for updates.
And the various devices you have plugged into it, mouse, keyboard, web cam, etc, any driver issues?
