Hello
since my 5.2 version isn't supporting canon .cr2 raw i tried to update the version to 5.71.
i have a valid and working key for LR 5 but when i to update/upgrade it to 5.71 it says my serial number is invalid. The support just forwarded me to the forum here...

Does anybody know a solution what i can do ?

Cheers Lukas

Is it an upgrade serial and requests to enter a serial of an older LR version as well?

Please post the exact wording of the message you get or a screen-capture - DO NOT post the serial number.

Which Canon camera model are your Raw files from?

No need to guess which version of Lightroom is required. Supported cameras and the version of LR required are showing here

I should have added I originally purchased LR3 then later used LR5, I can't remember at this stage wether it was an upgrade from 3 to 5 or I purchased 5 as a stand alone.

Make sure to not mix up the serials and put correct one when asked.

IIRC you need to enter the LR5 upgrade serial first, it will detect it as an upgrade serial and show you a second entry option to enter the old serial.

It is a normal LR 5 upgrade SN,

originally a LR3 student version incl. full upgrade eligibility, then upgraded to V4, then to V5

If needed, we can share every SN via PM

Thx

The Lr 5 Serialnumber is also good for Lr 5.7. If the number is not working, then the problem is otherwise.

I can't seem to get mine to work either.

How was your issue resolved?

I also have purchased LR 5 and the license has been working up to 5.6, however it stopped working with 5.7.1.

I am getting the error "The serial number you entered is invalid.  Please try again.  It the problem persists, contact Customer Support."

Did you download the 5.7.1 update for here?

Download Photoshop Lightroom

If you did try downloading it from here.

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/lightroom/mac/5.x/

If you need the Windows version you can also get it from that Adobe FTP server.
