Lightroom 6 Printing Profiles, Windows Properties and Lightroom properties not in sync??

Dear Community,

Have looked and read and found a few threads on profiles and issues, not sure they spoke to my concern or trouble here.  Using LR 6.0 on Windows.  Have added a paper profile for printing, Iford Gold Fibre Silk, see image inserted.  In LR, on my print panel, I see the profile listed and selected for Ilford, however when I open the printer properties from LR, I see my old values from another paper, this is the printer properties from Windows, I see an update, paper to glossy, etc.  See images below.  What I am concerned with, is when I open the printer properties from LR, it shows ABW printing, and other settings not part of the Profile for IGFS, even though the Profile of IGFS is listed as selected under color management in LR.  Is this over-rided by the installed profile?  I'm not sure what profile is being printed... I don't recall this being an issue in the past.

Maybe I can ask another novice/intermediate question here: The paper profiles control more than the paper finish glossy or matte, type, thickness, print head pass time, etc... it controls the white point of the paper and sets other colors relative to white point?  The profile controls more things than than the settings we see, correct?  I print 85% in black and white... wonder if I should just use the ABW settings provided by Epson and update the paper types?

Thanks for your help on this.

David,

Thanks for input.  But why am I see two different 'properties' from the Printer Dialog box or panel, versus the Windows printer profile?  See the two images I inserted.. not too worried about the list of profiles, I have selected the correct one, but also in Windows, I cannot find the "turn off color management' box or selection.. so I'm not sure if it is printing using the ABW or the applied profile.. makes sense?

Many thanks,

Cliff
