help - Lightroom some how reset all my edits of my entire catalogue. every single image it applied a 'syncronize settings" which reset the image and then applied to every image of the gallery i tried command + Z but it didnt undo. so far I have had to click on evet individual image and go back a step in the history.
is there any way other than going back in history on every single image to undo this mass disaster?
Its happened to a gallery before but never the whole catalogue.
im running an old version lightroom classic 10.4 (my mac is too full to upgrade)

Command + Z should've worked.
Unless someone has a plugin that can revert back one step that I've not heard of, I don't have good news for you. Do you have a recent backup of the catalog you can revert to? even if you lose recent imports and edits, at least it's easier than going over every image in the catalog.

Sigh, Auto Sync ends in tears again.
The late Rob Cole wrote a plugin Screw Auto Sync that could step all photos' history steps back one step. You can still download it from here:
https://github.com/DaveBurns?tab=repositories
Many of his plugins continue to work, though since Rob died January 2015, I wouldn't be surprised to encounter problems. I'm reasonably familiar with the catalog database schema with respect to history steps, and there's a reasonable chance the plugin would still work.
If you try Screw Auto Sync, definitely do so on a copy of your catalog first!

Go this page:
https://github.com/DaveBurns/rc_ScrewAutoSync
Click the green "Code" button and select Download Zip. Unzip the download. Inside that should be ScrewAutoSync.lrplugin, which is the plugin you want to select in File > Plug-in Manager > Add.
See this archived page for hints about how to use it:
That's about all I know.

John and Sean
For certain reasons I would not recommend installing this plugin.
