Lightroom CC Clasic Crashing

New Here ,
May 03, 2018 May 03, 2018

Recently I have an issue with Lightroom CC Clasic.

Whenever I try to eject any kind of external drive from my PC like usb, hard disk, card reader or even DVD after burning it, the software crashes!!!

Also If I leave my office for a couple of hours and leave Lightroom CC Clasic running definetely when I come back I'll find it crashed...

This happens after the last couple of update.

I'm running Lightroom Classic version: 7.3.1 [ 1167660 ] on Windows 10 64bit

Does anyone have any idea why that happens?

did you successfully reset your preferences (by deleting the files or seeing confirmation)?

Yes it does and as I mentioned in my original post It crashes whenever I eject an external drive from my PC even when an optical disc is ejected after burning or if I leave open the software and PC "goes to sleep"... Really it's very weird and it happens only with LR  not even PS...

that happened after resetting our preferences, opening lightroom and not saving anything to a removable drive?

if so, using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'chat', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html

Same problem for me: using Lightroom and DBpoweramp at the same time is a nightmare. When DBP ejects the CD it finished ripping, LR crashes most of the time. (And yes, I'm ripping my CD collection which comprises thousands of CDs, to store it on a NAS, and I'm loosing a lot of time now). Version 731 isn't better than 73 regarding this problem.

I'm finding the latest updated version of LIghtroom Classic 7.3.1 unstable and crashing all the time and slow.

It just seems to be getting worse and worse.

I'm getting fed up with it.

I just want it to work smoothly.

LATEST

I find that I have a major issue with 7.3.1 and my dual display configuration.  If I turn my secondary display on or off while Lightroom is open it invariably freezes up.  If often see the "shadow" window during that time.  I've never had this stability issue with Lightroom before the most recent builds.
