I'm using Capture One and Lightroom Classic on the same machine. How do I prevent Lightroom from seeing and copying the raw images I have in Capture One? Both occupy the Pictures folder. Yes, Im new to Lightroom Classic.

Do NOT import photos into LrC that are in Capture One.

Better to separate these into different folders, the task becomes much easier then.

@dj_paige , you stated "Do NOT import photos into LrC that are in Capture One."

Could you expand why you recommend  this LrC in its default mode stores info in the Catalog file and as far as I am aware Capture One can also work in a similar mode.

So if you are not writing metadata to the files there should be no confilict with your edits.

The original raw images can be in the same folders?

According to my understanding of the OP's question, this is an undesirable thing for him/her to do.

I'm a male. C1 and Lrc occupy the Pictures folder. Lrc was seeing and adding all the previews from all the C1 folders.

Strange as it may seem, before I had any experience with either app, I began using C1. I like it a lot, I decided to play around with Lrc. I find Lrc more difficult to learn than C1. In any case, I figured I was doing something wrong. Thanks for your help.
