Hi there
I am using a new high-end PC and I just updated to the new version of Lightroom Classic. Now I always get Bluescreen while starting.
PC Configuration:
- Intel i9 Extreme
- 128 GB Memory
- Samsung 960 PRO Sequential (Read/Write 3500 MB/s/2100 MB/s)
- 1 x GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
- 1 x GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
- 6 x 27" Monitors
- Windows 10 64bit English
I get the following exceptions on the bluescreen:
FLTMGR_FILE_SYSTEM
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
What can I do to make Lightroom running ?
Thanks and best regards

This is the first thing I found on Google:
How To Fix FLTMGR_FILE_SYSTEM Blue Screen Errors (0x000000F5)
If your system is brand new, the odds are higher than you might think that some piece of hardware is failing. Most failures seem to occur either early in a machine's life or after a long time. This has been described as a "bathtub curve". \.../
Awesome computer, by the way.

Also, if you are overclocking, try running at ordinary speed.

Hi there
I also get SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION on Lightroom start.
Also I tried to set 3D Settings on NVIDIA panel to make sure Lightroom is only using the GTX 1080.
But nothing helped 😞

It does not sound like you tried the suggestions at the link given by Hal P Anderson

Sorry, forgot to write ...
Yes I checked the steps, except installing windows because it is quite new as I wrote above.
Also I do not overclocking.
All other programs are working fine, also Lightroom was working before the latest update.
When I don't start Lightroom, the computer runs fine, without any problems.
Best regards

Roll your system back to before the newest Win update. With Pro you can actually turn off Auto Updates so this doesn't happen again.
I also suggest you get yourself a good backup and or Drive Imaging program and do regular Backups/Images of your complete system so if this type of thing happens again all you have to is restore an image the drive with a version you know works properly.
It is more than likely some type of drive/folder/file permissions problem that is causing LR to crash. It can't properly read or doesn't have the ability to write to a folder it needs to.

Thank you for your answer.
What would be a good software for Drive Imaging ?
By the way, it was not a windows update, it was a Create Cloud update.
Thanks and best regards

I use Acronis True Image but there are other imaging programs available.
I don't leave True image installed but make a Rescue USB thumb drive that I can boot my system from and do the imaging or restore an image I made. Once I've made the rescue drive I uninstall the program. But that's just how I do it. Acronis TI has been around for years and I've used it for the last 15+ years to backup my systems.
