I'm in Canada, and I've signed out and back into Creative Cloud and I'm not seeing Lightroom Classic CC 7.0 showing up in the apps for installation. Anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks. I figured it out. It won't show unless you're running El Capitan or a higher version of MacOS. It shows now.

Aww no! I cant get Lightroom Classic CC! Boo Adobe! I literally cant upgrade my Mac mini as the usb ports stop working (Ive tried resetting everything google says to reset - but i just put it down to my macs age.
Either way im on 10.9.5 which is a super stable OSX and ive never really needed to upgrade! Do Adobe plan to make LR classic available to lower versions - Mavericks etc.?? Come on guys! Please!!!

Well, you need to upgrade now. If your Mac is too old for High Sierra then it's time for a trip to the Apple Store.

Such a simple solution, why didnt I think of this before?! Maybe you can buy me a new machine please? I don't think it's unreasonable to be a little miffed when adobe suddenly doesn't make the new update available for older OSX when they are making record profits these days, surely they have enough extra money for backwards compatibility.

Backward compatibility is sometimes (actually, most of the times) performance limiting.
Everybody is complaining about performance and Adobe needs to cut off old stuff to use features available in newer OS's only to increase performance.
We simply can not have everything.

(davidei responding from a different account—two CC licenses) If supporting older Macs means including or omitting code that will slow my newer Macs then I’ll be unhappy. We’ve all been where you are and we all sympathize. Developers have to draw a line somewhere, and hardware and OS limitations will dictate the path of that line.
You should identify your Mac model and year for better answers.

Hello to all!
I tried to install the update as I'm using nikon d850 but I got the information that my computer is not sufficient for it. It's incredible, my computer is only 3 years old and I have OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5.
Can it be possible that Adobe makes an essential update that does not work on a Mac only three years old?? What can I do now?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Best regards,
Aida

I've just updated my MacBook Pro 3.1 (2007) with OSX El Capitan without any issue, just update the OS to at least El Capitan and it should work.

I followed the Apple Link to the app store for El Capitan and it would not install on my 3-year-old MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014). So it would seem that El Capitan is not an option for some machines. I am wondering if Apple turned off El Capitan for my machine to force me to High Serria? I can download and install High Serria but I am going to wait. While speed might be a nice upgrade for Lightroom Classic CC, I can do luminosity masks in Photoshop and hopefully, the new Classic CC features are available to me in the Camera Raw filter.
I love to hate Adobe. It seems that when they decide we need to keep up with them, they make it so you really have no choice. I have other software that has not been upgraded to work on newer OSs, so now I have to choose to upgrade my perfectly good stable system, and buy all new software or buy new hardware and run two systems. Is collusion between Apple and Adobe part of the conspiracy to keep getting my money? I pay the CC subscription, but that seems not to be enough.
I'll wait and see how this all shakes out.

C'mon, be fair about it. You have a free upgrade to High Sierra available to you at the click of your mouse, but you don't want it and you blame Apple and Adobe for colluding. Cognitive dissonance here.

Simple enough. Your 3-year-old Mac can run High Sierra. Go to App Store... under the Apple Menu and get High Sierra free. The newest Adobe apps are running just fine under High Sierra on this 5-year-old MacBook Pro. In fact, they are running under Sierra on a 7-year old 17-inch MBPro as well.
