Lightroom Classic Error 224

Community Beginner ,
Aug 03, 2025 Aug 03, 2025

I have been getting Error 224 when opening the newest release of LRC 14.4. I am using Window 11. After looking for online solutions it looks like the solution has to do with not connecting the the Adobe servers. It works fine when I install the previous version 14.3.1 Any resolution or how to contact support. Chat is AI and no help at all.

Did you try an uninstall followed by a reninstall?  It has been awhile, but the last time I tried chat I typed in "agent" and got an expert.

Bill, yes, I've done that a couple of times. No luck. I also reset the settings. I didn't know about the "agent" option. I'll try that as well.

dj_paige, I haven't yet. It's been a bit hectic as we had a family death. I'll do that as son as I can. how do you get help from them with more specific help/answers than the chat? That was not helpful at all. Someone said type "agent"

dj_paige, I did get a hold of customer support and we were on the chat for at least an hour and a half he took control of the computer and uninstalled and reinstalled the program, installed new drivers and tried everything that has been suggested. Still no luck. He was supposed to call me to try again with a senior agent but did not call. I'll keep you updated. Thank you!

dj_paige, I wanted to let you know that the issue HAS been resolved. Support spent 3 hours online with me, taking control of my computer removing, installing several times to no avail. He finally removed all mentions of Adobe on the computer - both Lightroom as well as the other products and after re-installation it worked. Crazy but they were patient and persistant. I couldn't have solved it on my own at all.
