Please provide your system information. Go to Help->System Info and copy the information there, down to and including the plug-in information, and paste it into your reply. We don't want and don't need anything after the plug-in information.

Please show us a screen capture of what you are seeing. Use the "Insert Photos" icon to include your screen capture in your reply.

Please clarify your comments: is it slow, or is it just plain not working?

@Maxal Tamor

Most of the time when someone says "same problem" its really a different problem. Please start a new thread and describe your problem in detail. People will be happy to help you in a new thread.

I have the same issues since about a week. I updated on Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 but it doesn't help. I have the photographs on an external HDD and a Mac Mini M1 with MacOS 15.0.1. Import of photographs takes like forever. I moved the catalog on my MacMini, but it didn't help. I switched off GPU support, but no solution to the problem. It took about 20 to 30 minutes at least to import 10 photos, now it doesn't even import them anymore. I don't know how often I had these problems with different Lightroom Versions on different Macs and Adobe always blames Apple for the problem, while the only problems I always have on my Macs is with Adobe software. I will have to edit about 1000 pictures, but this won't be possible with Lightroom.

@MJ Photo

Your question would be better off in its own thread, rather in a thread that has nothing to do with importing (in other words, you do NOT 'have the same issues'). Please start a new thread, describe your problem in detail, and people will be glad to help you.

Im on Windows and this is same issues since May. This is a software issues , not hardware ... but more easy to answer we have to change our hardware .. I read that several users with new and powered hardware meet same issues. LRC is frozen during several minutes , doing something else, but what ...;

The Adobe Support suggests to check Permissions (which I did), but didn't solve the problem or to format and restore my external hard drive which I won't do, as it won't solve the problem , but would mean a lot of work. The import problems have been a loyal companion over the years no matter what Mac or MacOS or Lightroom Version or external hard drives I have been using. It's an Adobe problem and I know I'm not alone with that.
