Lightroom Classic sync issues

As a long-time Lightroom Classic user and CC subscriber, I'm using this workflow to import my photos, have them sync to the CC, and edit them in LrC:

  1. Import images from SD card in either Ligthroom on my Mac or iPhone.
  2. Wait for the images to fully sync up with the CC.
  3. Open Lightroom Classic on my Mac, and wait for the images to download.

Often, not all images will download into LrC. I try pausing and restarting the sync, but it just doesn't seem to do anything.

Is there a way to force sync LrC with CC?

A bit of searching found this solution: Hold down Option in the sync preferences window and choose "Rebuild Sync Database".

Welcome to the Lightroom Classic community. I'll help you figure this out.

What version of Lightroom Classic & the operating system are you working on? Where do you keep your Lightroom Catalog? Internal drive or an external drive?

Log on to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) & check for any sync issues on the web. Before making any changes to sync issues, do locate & back up these images away from Lightroom. Lightroom sync might not function as expected as long as there are sync issues.

Thanks!

I'm using the latest 12.1 release. I do keep my Catalog on an external SSD, but I have no issues reading/writing to it, and viewing/editing other images in my catalog.

This latest import is just 78 images. Only 68 have made it over to LrC, while all are confirmed to be in CC. The 68 downloaded in a few minutes to LrC, and none more have been added in 12+ hours.

I don't see any sync issues on the Lightroom Web, nor on Lightroom on my iPad or iPhone.

It's just that LrC on my Mac won't sync.

How do I restart the sync service in LrC?

The two "uploading" files were listed as an error that I've removed from LrC. It's still stuck on 55 downloading, though.

This is maddening. Is there a service somewhere on my Mac that needs to be re-started?

I cannot find the preference window on my Mac. I have 4000 photos in my sync issues folder that will not sync. Everything else says it's synced and backed up.

It is the cloud icon on the upper right corner. Click on that icon, then hold down option key while clicking on the settings icon. ⚙︎ and you will see the option for "Rebuild Sync Database".

I don't see the "Rebuild Sync Database" option. I have over 12,000 images stuck syncing. What am i missing? Im sure it's right in front of me. LrC Sync Preferences.png
