Lightroom Classic wont install with nonsense error

I could not get any apps to install to my case-senseitive APFS drive.  So I blew it away, reformatted as NOT case-sensitive, and began installing Adobe apps successfully.  12 installed.  The last one, Lightroom Classic, immediately dies at 1 percent however, with an error 181 "cannot install to case-sensitive drive".

It is not case-sensitive, as the success with the other 12 proves.  I have tried installing it to another non-case-sensesitive drive with same error.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

In Finder, right-click the drive and do Get Info. Post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic), e.g.
