To delete any History step, which also deletes all steps above it, right-click the latest step you want to keep and choose Clear History Above This Step. If you want to clear the first step, right-click the step after it and choose that command. If your Mac is not set up for right-click, Control-click the step instead.

To delete any History step, which also deletes all steps above it, right-click the latest step you want to keep and choose Clear History Above This Step. Or, use the new shortcut added in the February 2023 release (Lightroom Classic 12.2): Option-click a History step; as usual any steps above that step will be removed. (Of course, in Windows the shortcut is Alt-click the step.) The Adobe release notes are a little misleading because they talk about “the selection” but it doesn’t matter which History step is selected, what matters is the step you click. It’s above that point that other steps are deleted.
