Lightroom filmstrip images are too big

I am using a Mac and somehow the filmstrip images have gotten so big that there is no bar across the top to resize them smaller.  I do not know how this happened nor do I know how to make them smaller.  Everything that I find says to hover over the black bar above the images until the symbol to resize shows up. There is no black above the images as a matter of fact the tops of the images are cut off. What can I do to resolve this?  Thank you!!!

nikitaTR solution worked perfectly for me.  But you do need to restart LR for the filmstrip to redraw with its menu bar and resized images.  Thanks - was driving me mad.

See this article for the proper way to reset preferences in LR CC 2015 / 6: http://www.lightroomforums.net/showthread.php?25197-Resetting-the-lightroom-preferences-file-updated . The method given to you by Adobe support is harder to do and won't work unless you reboot after manually removing the .plist file.

I restarted my computer then reset the preferences. So far so good!

Thanks!

I've had the same problem today too. I toggled show tab bar on and off between restarting and it seems to have fixed the issue to. Strange.

This bug has been acknowledged by Adobe: Filmstrip is covering / overlapping filter- and breadcrumb bar | Photoshop Family Customer Community . Please add your me-too vote and details of your issue to make it more likely Adobe will prioritize a fix.

There are two known workarounds.  See this post for the first workaround: Filmstrip is covering / overlapping filter- and breadcrumb bar | Photoshop Family Customer Community . Others have reported that resetting LR's preferences also fixes the problem: http://www.lightroomforums.net/showthread.php?25197-Resetting-the-lightroom-preferences-file-updated

I have the problem too. Annoying. I used the nikiatr method of "uncheck Window -> Show Tab Bar and restart" which worked, thanks (not sure for how long it remain working), but less obtrusive than resetting the preferences given that I dohave no idea what I may lose by doing a reset, since I have had everything set up for years.

Sam,

You are lucky that the uncheck window-show tab bar and restart worked for you.  This fix doesn't work for me, and neither does resetting preferences or uninstalling and reinstalling LR.  Very annoying.

Exactly what happened to me, that tab bar appeared (I must have done something with the wacom tablet without realizing) and the same issue happened. I unchecked it and the images are back to normal size after restarting.
