Hello everyone,
I recently intalled the Adobe Creative Cloud App for my Macbook Air (Early 2015) running macOS High Sierra (10.13) and downloaded the latest verison of Adobe Lightroom CC (2015), but every time I try tu launch Lightroom, it crashes and it gaves an error saying "Lightroom quit unexpectedly".
I don't know what to do, I've looked on the internet for possible solutions, but none seem to work.
I also read on a post on this forum, to try and launch it from Terminal, and read for error displayed on Terminal, which I did and said the following:
objc[2312]: Class MacExePath is implemented in both /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/PDApp/P7/adobe_licutil.app/Contents/MacOS/adobe_licutil (0x1f6454) and /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager/P7/axlibv7.dylib (0x1f1d1ac). One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

Could someone help me with this problem?
I was finally able to fix all my problems:
To fix the crashing at launching Lightroom issue, I just had to grant Read & Write permissions to Lightroom.app for every account on my MacBook (System, Admin, Everyone, and even adding [UserName]).
And to fix the crashing at opening Preferences issue, I just had to hold the Shift + Option keys while launching Lightroom.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help, and I hope this also helps people in similar situations!

If Mail crashes, being an OS app, then the problem may reside on the system itself. Try contacting Apple Support.
I, for instance, had a files problem, so I installed a clean version of macOS High Sierra, reinstalled the latest version of Lightroom; and all my problems went away! Although I recommend trying less extreme methods before deciding to reinstall macOS, because doing so means losing all your data which is not on iCloud Drive.

I've got this same problem (also posted in another thread om crashes with High Sierra). I jpurchased LR via Amazon yesterday. Downloaded LR initially from the supplier (Amazon) but it failed in the way you mentioned. After the first time LR failed, I checked the forum and followed advice to remove the SL store and SL cache files. Initially this worked and LR loaded ok and I was able to do a test load of some tif files. However, when I selected the Development tab, LR crashed. I have been unable to get it to load since then!
I uninstalled and re-installed from both my original downloaded LR copy and the latest version on the Adobe support web site - in every case LR crashes while loading, even when I set the permissions and removed the SL store and SL cache files as per this thread.
I'm at my wits end as to what to do now - LR has not turned out to be a great xmas present!

Finally I got LR to load. I uninstalled LR (and deleted all the Adobe files left over after the uninstall in Users, Applications and Applications Support folders). I restarted my iMac. Then, I downloaded LR 6 from Adobe Support page ( Download Photoshop Lightroom ) and installed the downloaded software (by clicking on the downloaded file, Lightroom_6_LS11.dmg). Then I applied all the permissions changes advised by JoeBro (thanks for this helpful advice - better than anything I got from Adobe!) and started up LR - to my surprise it loaded ok, so I then selected the update option under the LR Help menu which showed Adobe Application Manager and LR needed to be updated (LR was said to need version 6.14 update). I selected both the updates which ran ok.
LR was reloaded after the update without any problem.
Of course time will tell if this is a permanent solution, as I did manage to load LR previously but it failed quickly after I selected Develop and then could not be restarted until now!
Just in time for Xmas.

Here is my experience with this problem:
I installed the 6.11 version (the one suggested by defect), then I did all what JoeBro suggested and still didn't t work. After several hours of frustration (we all know how bad it feels), I finally updated the non-working version to the 6.14 and finally it did work. If you install the one they give you by defect, its 6.11 and would not work (at least in my Mac)
Regards and thanks to all for your help

Well, I would suggest you to give a try for an update, download the update manually from below link :
Run the update and then try to launch Lightroom.

PROBLEM SOLVED!
I just purchased the Lightroom 6 CD-ROM and had this same problem: Install seemed to go well but when opening it was an error window that said "Lightroom Closed Unexpectedly." Looked for online help and came across this forum and could make no sense of half of these suggestions so I got into an online with Adobe support from their web page. I did have to wait ~20-minutes before an online chat started but it was worth it.
My chat Technician confirmed my problem then openly stated that Lightroom 6 crashes in Mac High Sierra. After confirming my product serial number, he then sent me a link to download Lightroom 6.14 which is a fix for the crash problem. I did NOT uninstall Lightroom 6. I downloaded it to my computer, ran the install program and opened Lightroom 6.
What I was most impressed with is that he stayed live with me on the chat while I downloaded the program from the link, installed the program and confirmed that Lightroom would open.
You can find the link to Lightroom 6.14 by doing an internet search. This appears to only be for Lightroom 6 and not for Lightroom CC.

I also had problems. Was using 6.14 (Adobe Lightroom [1014445] with High Sierra successfully for several months. It stopped loading, crashing. Tried a fresh download, same problem. As some others have suggested a permissions issue, I:
Shut Down
Restarted in Safe Mode
Ran Onyx for High Sierra (note that Onyx is OS-specific)
Restarted. Works for me now with no issue.
