Hi
I have LR 14.2 and went back to 14.1.1, but still both versions do not show Loupe Info in Develop Module. Yes, I have done the Show Info Overlay thing, I have restarted LR several times, even my computer. It is frustrating.
When I go to the menu, it does have a check that it is enabled, just that they just don't show up.

Silly question perhaps, but I have to ask. Did you check that something is actually defined in the overlay (the menu below this one)? Maybe there's nothing to show...

Yes, I have those on file dimensions, camera model, lens model etc. Nothing works.

I can't reproduce it, the overlay works fine on my Mac with Lightroom Classic 14.2 and MacOS Sequoia. Try resetting the preferences. Corrupted preferences are known to cause all kinds of strange things:

I was using LR 14.2. Went back to LR 14.1 and still have the same issue.
I have now reverted to LR 14.0 and the Loupe Info Overlay works just fine.
PS: Moderator, it's a BUG. It's not just for discussions. Sort yourselves out please.

A bug needs to be confirmed and added to the bug system before it is moved to the bugs forum. Until then, it is a discussion, that's how this forum works. So far, you are the only one reporting this, even though you claim this occurs in Lightroom Classic 14.1 as well. That actually makes it very unlikely that this is a real bug. Other people would have reported it by now if this was a bug. I can't speak for others, but I don't see it on my system. Did you try resetting the preferences like I suggested?

Yes I did but it did not work. I have to stick to 14.0 for now.

I have the same problem. In Library mode and in devellop mode the image overlay don't show. And stars and colour marks are only shown when LR classic has been restarted.

I cannot replicate this either. It will remain in discussions without additional reproduction information.

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing the same issue with Lightroom. Every time I start the program, I can see the info displayed, but after a while, it disappears. The only way to make it visible again is by restarting Lightroom, but the issue repeats after some time. Any ideas on how to fix this?

14.2, OSX. Have the same issue, have had it for several versions. One moment the overlay can be toggled through using 'I', then it's no longer there, and cannot be brought back either with the keybaord shortcut or View | Loupe info | Show Info Overlay. It's super annoying. A restart often resolves it but eventually it'll recur.

Same Issue for me too. LRC 14.2 and MacOS.
After restart visible. But disappears after a while. Not possible to bring it back.

The Classic Team is looking for a couple of persons who are still afflicted with this issue. If you are willing to participate by providing some logging, please direct message me via this forum and use "Loupe Overlay" in your subject line. Thank you - we've received enough inquiries for now.

Hi there, any updates on this? It’s becoming quite frustrating having to restart Lightroom every few minutes.

Just like to add to this. I've had this issue ongoing through several versions. Today, I noticed that the Loupe Info disappeared and could not be made visible again IMMEDIATELY after using AI denoise (and creating a new DNG). I restarted and tried to recreate it and it did not happen again. But the first time I was looking at the screen as it did the Denoise and the Loupe was there (showing RAW file info) and then when the DNG loaded, the Loupe was gone. Really frustrating.

I'd like to add something to this in the hope that it helps. The loss of the Loupe Info seems to correspond with the star rating in the filmstrip (develop module) no longer updatiung. So when changing the star rating, the dialogue text appears to confirm the rating change, but the actual number of stars showing on the photo in the filmstrip thumbnail remains wherever it was. I had noticed this bug previous but for the first time I noticed that it's happened and the Loupe Info is again missing. I did reply to Rikk\s request for participants but never heard anything back..

And in this same session, the star ratings bug reappeared. Then I noticed the Loupe has disappeared and can't be brought back. And I had just done the AI denoise. I'm convinced that something happens when creating the AI denoised DNG that kills the Loupe and Star info being shown correctly.

(And apologies to Rikk, I did get a message from him which I'd missed)

Hi again. I have been continuously retrying to update my LR Classic but Loupe Info is always missing no matter what... Until I moved my pending edits to a new catalog - Everything works as they should now!

Sadly I don't think this is a correct answer. I have the same behaviour across multiple catalogues.

Since my last update to 14.2 release, shortcu I key for information stops working everytime after Import. Usually restarting the program can get it back. Is this a known bug?

There have been a few scattered reports in the last couple of months:
The last person never answered my questions. Unless we can narrow down the circumstances in which this occurs, Adobe isn't going to pay much attention:
1. Go to Library, Loupe view ("e").
2. Do the menu command View > Loupe Info > Show Info Overlay. Do you see the info overlay in the upper-left corner of the Loupe view?
3. Regardless of what happens in step 2, do the menu command View > Loupe Info > Cycle Info Display. Do you see the info overlay?

Thanks for replying. I waited until I updated to 14.3 today, hoping it would have fixed it. No luck. Same thing. It worked after I restarted LR. Apparently Importing killed it. Same thing happens to someone I know. But most people don't seem to have this problem.
Nothing happens after I did 2 and 3.
Thanks again!
