I just bought a lightroom 6 and installed to my desktop with windows 10. It keeps crashes any time when I click on it. The first page shows 5 seconds then crashed. After one hour waiting for chatting with Adobe,  I found the support team is not working in the weekend. Can someone help me? I need step-by-stepinstructions for the correction.

I have LR4 in the same computer, it is still working, but act funny after I installed LR6, something has missing.

Yes, I am able to access all folders LR uses, but I still can not make LR6 work. I am afraid to remove the whole LR6 from my computer in the concern of that I might accidentally delete my photos. I need to back up my computer to a separated hard-driver first.

Because anytime when I launch the LR6, it will ask me to upgrade catalog, I agreed, so it end up with a lot of Lightroom Catalog-xx.lrcat files. I just deleted those duplicated files. what should I do next time when it ask me to upgrade the catalog again?

This is part of the Intel graphic driver. This confirms what I said before, the graphic driver is the source of the issue. I'd really try to remove the driver and reinstall the most recent.

You can try as follows: Open the device manager and right-click on the graphic card. Choose to remove/delete and when asked also set the check mark to delete the driver.

Then reboot. Windows will start with it's default graphic driver and will eventually not have the correct resolution for your display.

Now, open the device manager again, right-click on the graphic card and this time select to upgrade the driver. Allow it to search from the web (Microsoft Update).

This should completely re-install the latest WHQL driver available from Microsoft.

I followed your instruction to deleted the graphic driver, then reinstalled it again. While installation, I let it automatically search for the update. It was said the driver installed is up to date. It is still the version of 10.18.10.4276! I launched LR6 again, it crashed again. Problem is still not solved.

Thank you for your information. I tried this way you recommended in very first, renamed the Lightroom 6 preferences.agprefs and Lightroom 4 preference.agprefs, but still failed to launch Lightroom 6.
