LRC flicking in develop mode

New Here ,
Aug 31, 2024 Aug 31, 2024

I have LRC V13-3 For the last two days, when I try and go into develop mode and move between each section, LRC starts to flicker and wont let me do anything. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the sam thing happens. I have to force quit to get out of the program. Has anyone had this issue and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance 🙂

First, please try if it helps to reset the preferences, as these are not reset when you remove and reinstall: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

If it does not help, please post the system information found in the help menu of LrC and elaborate on "flicker", what exactly it does.

Thanks for coming back to me, I reset the preferences and still have the same problem. I cant get into the help menu as the program wont respond once the flickering starts. When you open the develop mode and try to move into the different section, it doesnt move to that section but you can see it flicking in the background. It wont let you do anything and I have to force quit to get out. 🙂

Try if it also happens with a new, empty catalog, just for testing purpose.

Hold down the Alt key while starting LrC. This will show a dialog where you could test the integrity of the current catalog (please try to run this as well) and you can also create a new catalog.

In addition, please share more details on your gear, such as:

- CPU

- GPU type and its memory, as well as the exact driver version

- RAM

LATEST

I would suspect an issue with the GPU or GPU driver. Make sure your GPU driver is updated to the very latest version which you can only do on windows by going to the GPU manufacturer website and checking there for the latest version. If it is a NVidia GPU make sure to use the Studio driver and not the gaming one. Windows update usually does not actually update the GPU drivers to the latest versions.
