MAC LR running like a Sloth

What are the leading sources of sluggishness for MAC LR?  We noticed after last couple patches LR really slowed down, but at the same time we started getting warnings about super sized libraries.

Have you tried turning off GPU acceleration? How much free disk space do you have? How much RAM?

16 GB Ram and more disk space than the 70 GB LR cache size by 50%.  And lots of our issues seem to associated with file movement, access, xfers etc.

Tell us exactly what parts of Lightroom are slow. Be very detailed.

All file management activities. Anything do file movement or export.  For example 600 pix catalogue export just took five hours.

Some things that come to mind:

• Disk space free is close to zero
• Virus checker slowing things down
• Other tasks operating at the same time

No no and no..  as near as my wife and I can tell LR has memory leak as it goes Tango

Uniform if left open for than a couple of hours.

Exactly what are you looking at that indicates you have a memory leak?
