Map module not showing location on map (LR Classic v8.4)

Hi,

I've noticed a few posts of problems with the Map module but those were all related to previous LR versions. I seem to have an issue with the Map module within the latest version of LR Classic however.

Pictures (taken with an iPhone) do not show up on the map (even though their GPS data is present). In fact not one picture's location is shown on the Map anymore.

Does anybody else have this problem as well?

The Lightroom Web site does show the picture's location (opening a photo and the select the 'i'-icon (info) on the right show a small map with the correct location the picture was taken) - so the GPS data is correct.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I have the feeling something is broken in my LR install.

As said: This is the latest version of LR Classic running on my iMac (on the latest MacOS Mojave version).

KR,

Jan.

To test my understanding, you have a photo imported in LR Classic that contains GPS coordinates. When you sync that photo from LR Classic to LR Web, you can see the map location of that photo. But in LR Classic, the photo isn't displayed on the map in the Map Module. Is that correct?

[Also, attach one of the problem photos to your reply here so we can see if the problem occurs in other LR configurations. Adding an attachment is a little convoluted:

1. Reply using the *blue* Reply button under your first post, not the black reply button.

2. Post the reply.

3. At the bottom of that posted reply, click More and then Edit Reply.

4. You can attach files using the box at the bottom of the editing window:
