Masking brush tool not working in v11.1 LrC

I cannot get the Masking brush tool to work. It worked one time and now nothing happens when I use it. I have "show overlay" selected and when I try to paint, nothing happens. It overlay where I'm painting doesn't appear and no settings are applied. I'm very new to Lightroom, so I'm not sure if I'm just missing something.  Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what type of screenshot to post as I can't get anything to work? Here is just a shot of my screen and what I'm currently seeing.

Ok, I found how to fix this after I posted it. I reset Lightroom preferences and it fixed my issue.  Not sure why it broke, but it's working now!

The Density slider somehow got set to 0:

Resetting your preferences reset its default value back to 100.

Ah, thank you so much! If it happens again, I will make sure I check that. Appreciate your help.
