Moving some LR Classic folders off PC to a hard drive

I have to take half of my LR Classic folders off my PC & store on a hard drive.

I understand that I have to move the catalogue as well.

My question is - how do I move only the catalogue that relates to the folders of images which are being transferred

Incorrect. Catalog can stay where it is. The instructions (with screen captures) for doing this are in the section entitled "Part 2 — Updating Folder Location" of this document.
