Multi gallery

Can I edit multiple galleries while another gallery is syncing edits? Example- my current gallery is adding the new denoise feature to my entire gallery which is taking forever and causing me to lose edit time on other galleries. Can I go to a different gallery and edit while this one is still syncing or will that mess something up??

What software are you talking about? Is it Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon) or something else? What version number?

As far as I know, there are no galleries in either Lightroom or Lightroom Classic, so I don't understand that part either.
